Ugliest Lamp Contest

Bring in your ugly lamp from Octover 26th to November 12th between 8am and 5pm and fill out an entry form. The lamps will be displayed during the exhibit. Visitors will vote on the ugliest lamp from November 14th to December 18th. Winners will be announced on Saturday, December 19th and will receive their very own Major Award! Entries will be released for pick up January 11th through 17th. The SSCVA reserves the right to refuse any lamp entry.

"What I Want for Christmas"

Write a theme about what you would like to receive for Christmas, just like Ralphie Parker wrote about the BB Gun he wanted. Entries must be postmarked or dropped off at the Indiana Welcome Center by December 11th. Entries should be more than 20 words but not exceed 250. Entries will be judged in three separate age groups: age 9 and younger, 10-18 and 19 and older. Themes wil be judged by an outside group of professionals writers/journalists and will not bre judged against other entries, but as standalone entries. Winners will be announced on December 19th at the Indiana Welcome Center and will be contacted by phone.

All entries must must be clearly labeled with your name, address, day-time telephone number and age category.
